A music artist portfolio site to showcase Barney Chamorro’s work, including embedded Youtube videos, social media links, email contact, biography.
Oh, this one was a lovely project not only because it was something fresh for our portfolio, being a music artist website – by the way, a pretty popular guitarist and producer from Nicaragua and also a cool client of ours! But also because the challenges were exciting and different from other projects we crafted, being so fluid and, well, so filled with media elements (obviously; we’re talking about music here)! The musician, Barney Chamorro, started a contest on 99designs for his website’s homepage design. The best layout proposal was the one which would have showcased his work, including lots of media elements like embedded videos, podcasts, photo series and a few text elements, in a fluid and powerful way. Our designer’s work caught his attention and thus became the official design used on his website. Dark backgrounds, layered sections, smooth navigating and a mix of those various media elements were subtly arranged in a convincing online music portfolio for the client.
