In the past few years, Autonom – a key player in the automotive mobility service trade – has partenered with eJump in expand and digitize its business offer. Throughout this cooperation, we strived for excellence in our work for them, and we undertook a diversity of tasks ranging from app to website development, front and backend support.
As we ended up managing Autonom’s digital presence, and did it honourably, the idea of a formal partnership gradually emerged. After talks that lasted little more than a year, we decided that we have much to gain by teaming up. The Autonom Group decided to give us the ultimate vote of confidence by investing in eJump.
VMS and ATM Ventures have recently agreed to purchase 30% of eJump, teaming up with us in order to expand our business, diversify our services and build on what has already been an outstanding and synergetic partnership.
What does this mean in practical terms?
For one thing, most of the revenue generated by VMS and ATM Ventures purchasing 30% of eJump was invested back into the company. The new funds will allow eJump to expand further, add a strategic layer to company development and diversify our services pipeline to meet the needs of an ever-growing portfolio of clients. At the same time, by expanding our cooperation, we are poised to develop better products together. Lastly, with access to the Autonom Group’s expansive network of partners, eJump will offer its services to more clients than ever before.
How will eJump work from now on?
eJump won’t change all that much initially. We will keep our current business direction, expand on existing work and play on our strengths. Of course, our team and our partners will probably feel some of the Autonom Group’s business culture being gradually woven into our overall approach. That’s a good thing, by the way: the Autonom Group includes some of the fastest expanding businesses in Romania over the past few years. In the long run, we will probably strive to make the partnership translate into the optimization of certain internal processes. We’ll keep you updated on that.
Will there be rebranding involved?
For the moment, we are keeping the eJump brand as it reflects the identity of our team and is itself developed over years and years. In the long run, we might opt for a new composite identity, reflecting our partnership with VMS and ATM Ventures and the wider Autonom Group.
Will eJump specialize on the automotive sector from now on?
The automotive sector is already a big customer for eJump, as one notices when checking the case studies on our website. However, we are not changing our focus or introducing mono-specialization. We will continue to offer a wide range of services, and in fact potentially expand using the windfall from capital acquisition.
Are there any changes to the team?
Our partners are probably familiar with one or more of the guys and gals in our team and might be concerned about their place in the now expanded organization. They don’t need to: we are keeping the team and channelling the merger towards offering everyone better working conditions and a good work-life balance.
The bottom line is simple: a bigger, more connected eJump will draw upon new resources and expertise to provide even better services. With the Autonom Group’s know-how and support, we hope to double down on quality and to develop new strategic directions. At the same time, the eJump spirit remains. We’re still the inquisitive explorers you know, it’s just that we are now doing our exploration in an Autonom car.
